Attorneys
are required to complete 30 hours of CLE in each 3 year reporting
period. 10 hours per year. If a member completes more than 30
hours, during any reporting cycle, the excess credits cannot be
carried over to the next reporting cycle. Of those 30 hours,
5 hours in each of the following subjects are mandatory:
-
Legal Ethics: 5 hours of the 30 required must
be in ethics as they apply to the legal profession.
-
Professionalism:
5 hours can be in the area of professionalism as it pertains
to the legal profession.
-
Substance Abuse: Substance abuse, including
alcohol is a major problem among professionals. 5 hours of substance
abuse awareness is offered as part of the 30 hours of CLE for
attorneys.
- Mental
Illness Awareness: We have searched high and low, and
have not found ANY courses on Mental Illness Awareness. We have
assembled 5 hours of materials that will give you a unique outlook
on those people who are suffering from mental illness and the
unique situations that surround these individuals.
